Rob and his crew are trustworthy, and in my opinion the best mechanics in San Ramon by far! They have helped me and my family with several of our cars, including standard maintenance and special projects. I highly recommend them!

My car engine suddenly started misfiring so I took it to a garage I had been to before for a fix. Their estimate was a bad cylinder (valve) which would cost about $3.5K. I was concerned as garage was under new ownership and I didn't want to spend the money until I had a second opinion. I received an email from Valley Import just when I needed a second opinion on my car (It was perfect timing). So, took the car (4 Runner) and I'm so glad I did as Valley Import did an outstanding job troubleshooting the engine. It wasn't a bad cylinder costing $3.5K, but a bad spark plug wire, which costs 1/10th the costs. As my car was due for some general maintenance work, I also had the timing belt replaced and a few other much needed fixes. My car has 192 K Miles and now runs like a champ. Thanks to Mark and the mechanics.

This was the best service experience I’ve had in many years. I had great conversations with both Rob, the owner, and Jeff, the shop manager. It’s pretty clear they know their business and take great pride in high quality work done correctly at a fair price. I felt like I had gone back in time and was being helped by a trusted mechanic in small town mid-America. I’m glad I found this gem of a shop and I’ll be back.

Valley Import Center worked hard to get my car on the road in a timely fashion. I needed my transmission replaced and it was done within a couple of days. There were no surprises in when I picked up my car and paid my bill. A great experience.

They were so courteous and fit us in right away! We had a few things to do, most of which weren’t urgent, & helped us prioritize which needed to happen first and which could wait a bit. Very honest and easy to work with, & knew their stuff! Was worth the little drive from neighboring city!
